So, why naked yoga?
Why not?!!  Many men enjoy practicing yoga, and many men enjoy being naked.  Here is your chance to combine the two.  Though people often equate being naked with sex, Seattle Men's Naked Yoga is not about that.  We strive to create a sensual, though non-sexual experience, in which men can practice yoga and celebrate their bodies. By literally shedding our layers, we no longer hide behind our clothes and are better able to present all of who we are.

What's the room temperature in the 'hot naked' classes?
We turn up the heat to about 85 degrees, just enough to get a good sweat going.

Will I feel out of place if my body isn't perfect?
Hmmm, how do you define "perfect"?  My body isn't perfect either, yet I still practice yoga.  The idea of doing yoga naked in a group could feel intimidating at first.  But most men experience feeling very comfortable quite quickly. Seattle Men's Naked Yoga creates a welcoming and healing space for all guys regardless of body imperfections!

What are the benefits of yoga?
There are many benefits including increased flexibility, improved posture and muscle tone, stress reduction, and a general sense of well-being.

I have never practiced yoga.  Can I still attend?
Yes, if you can breathe, you can do yoga!  Most classes will be structured to suit both beginners and regular practitioners of yoga.

Do I have to be flexible or limber to do yoga?
One of the goals of yoga is to become more flexible over time.  It is not a requirement at the beginning.  However, you do need to be in good health, since these classes may be physically demanding at times.  Our classes are intended for fitness-oriented men who take care of themselves and their bodies, not for those in need of serious physical rehabilitation or those who just want to come and admire.

How long does it take to be good at yoga?
Complete mastery of yoga, if that's ever really possible, may take several years.  It is a gradual, growing process.  Continued practice is the key, and no matter what level you are at, you will always leave class in a more peaceful, yet energized state.

Can I participate in classes without being naked?
No. All participants must be naked in order to maintain an equal footing among members of the class
.  That's the whole point!  You will have time to get "warmed up" before class begins.  Then, the shorts should come off, if they aren't already.

What if I get an erection during class?
This rarely happens, but if it does, just breathe and don't worry about it.  Erections happen for all sorts of reasons and are not limited to sexual attraction.  Yoga poses move lots of prana (energy) in the body and sometimes erections occur.  Most of the guys in class will be so focused on their own yoga practice that it is doubtful they would even notice.

Are we allowed to touch each other?
There may be some partner yoga exercises, which involve touching and body contact between other men in the class.  However, this will not be sexual touching.  Any contact of a sexual nature will not be tolerated.  Offending member(s) will be asked to leave immediately and will not be allowed to attend future classes.  They will also forfeit any remaining classes on their punch card.

Will I have an orgasm?
No, you better not!  This is NOT a sexual experience.  It is, by nature, a sensual experience.  You're in the wrong place if you're looking for sex or to "get off."

What if I meet someone whom I find attractive and with whom I want to date or "hook up"?
Great, just do it outside of class.  One goal of our classes is to provide an opportunity for well-adjusted, healthy guys like yourselves to meet.

Can I attend if I'm straight or bi?
Definitely.  While the majority of men in our classes will most likely be gay, the classes are open to all men regardless of sexual orientation.

Should I come to class if I have health issues?
Please do not attend class if you have any of the following: a cold, the flu, or any contagious skin condition such as scabies or lice.

Is Seattle Men's Naked Yoga appropriate for friends or couples?
Absolutely!  Please bring your boyfriend/partner with you.  And make sure he looks over the website and reads about the classes beforehand.

What is the cost?
The
cost for a drop-in class is $15 or $135 for a punch card of 10 classes.  Please pay with cash.  Punch cards are good for 6 months.  Any unused classes at the end of 6 months will expire.  This rule is strictly enforced.

2. towel
3. bottle of water
4. $15 cash or your punch card

Yes, everyone must sign a release form to protect the instructors and hosting facility.  This helps ensure the continued existence of the group.  Your cooperation is appreciated.

Why do you need my driver's license?
